This 2 days is a short safari package that presents chimpanzee tracking tour package that takes you to explore and then encounter our closet cousins in their natural habitats, not only the chimpanzees, this safari takes you to encounter over 13 primate species that are located in Kibale forest national park including black and white colobus monkeys, Red-tailed monkeys, and among others, and spotting various bird species in the forest.

Day 1: Pick up and transfer to Kibale forest national park.
Depending on your location, on your first day of the safari, your safari driver from African Vacation Safaris will pick you from your preferred location and then brief you about the safari. After the briefing you will start on your journey to the western Uganda through Mityana, Kyenjonjo towns, Mubende as well. Along the way you will have unique spot attractions, from Kampala to Kibale forest national park it takes you about 5 hours’ drive.
Along the way you will have the en-route lunch, after lunch you will proceed with your journey and then upon your arrival you will go for the for the guided nature walks in the Bigodi wetland sanctuary to where you will sight the incredible attractions like small mammals, bird species, unique plant and then tree species, after the experience you be transferred to your lodge for dinner, relaxation and overnight stay.
Day 2: Chimpanzee trekking in Kibale forest national park and departure.
On the final day of the safari, wake up early in the morning and then be served with breakfast. After breakfast you will meet your safari guide and then transfer to the park headquarters for the incredible chimpanzee trekking at around 7:30 am to where the park guides and hen rangers will first give you a briefing about the rules and regulations to follow during the trekking. Chimpanzee trekking takes you about 30 minutes to 5 hours depending on the location of the chimpanzees, while looking for the chimpanzees in the forest you will be attracted with beautiful sighting of the plant species, tree species, animal species and bird species.
And once the chimpanzees are located you will be given a period of one hour to be in the presence of the chimpanzees that is watching them doing their activities like feeding, females grooming their young babies, playing, taking them pictures and then recording their movies and among others. After the experience you will return back to your lodge and then enjoy your lunch. After lunch you will start on your journey to Kampala and upon your arrival your safari guide will drop you off at Entebbe International Airport to catch your flight back home or be dropped to your hotel in Kampala and will make your safari come to the end.
