Day 1: Pick up, Kigali city tour and transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park.
On the first day of the safari, your safari guide from African Vacation Safaris, will pick you up either from Kigali International Airport or from your hotel in Kigali. After the pickup he will welcome you and belief you about the 3 days safari. After the briefing session, you will be transferred to participate in Kigali city tour where you will interact with the locals through exploring various interesting sites like Kimironko market the largest market in Rwanda to where you can buy African fabrics, and then the souvenirs as you interact with the locals for the best experience, you as well visit the Kigali genocide memorial museum where you will get to know the events that led to the unfornate event in Rwanda. You will later enjoy lunch in Kigali city. After lunch you will begin your journey to Bwindi Impenetrable national park. Through Cyanika borders. The scenic drive takes you through the Kigezi region, Lake Bunyonyi that is famously known as Switzerland of Africa, the journey offers you breathtaking views of the Virunga Mountains and the surrounding countryside. And once you arrive the lodge you will check in your lodge for dinner, relaxation and overnight stay.
Day 2: Gorilla trekking in Bwindi impenetrable forest national park and drive back to Kigali.
On the 2nd day of the safari, wake up early in the morning and enjoy breakfast. After breakfast you will carry your lunch, check out from your lodge and meet your safari guide to where he will transfer you to the park’s headquarters for the gorilla trekking briefing of the rules and regulations to follow. After the briefing you will be allocated a gorilla family to trek and a park guide who is knowledgeable about the mountain gorillas and also conversant with the various gorilla trekking traits. Gorilla trekking takes a period of about 30 minutes to 6 hours depending on the location of the gorillas.
During gorilla trekking you will be impressed with the diverse spotting of various biodiversity and once the mountain gorillas are spotted you be given a period of one hour to be in the presence of the gorillas, that is watching them feeding, playing, breastfeeding, mothers grooming their young ones, taking pictures and recording their videos and among others. After the experience you will be transferred back to the starting point to where you will be will receive the gorilla trekking certificates for taking part in gorilla trekking.
After the experience, you will back to Kigali with the wonderful views along the way, and then you will transfer to Kigali to your preferred location either at Kigali International Airport to catch up with your flight back home or to your hotel in Kigali that will bring your safari back to the end.
