3 days Uganda chimpanzee trekking safari is a short tour package safari that takes you the primate capital that is Kibale forest national park that is famously known for the large numbers of the chimpanzees that are over 1500 species, not only the chimpanzees the park has other primate species that are over 13 species including red-tailed monkey, Vervet monkeys, black and white colobus monkeys and among others. The safari begins and ends in Kampala-Uganda.

Day 1: Transfer to Kibale forest national park.
On the 1st day of thee safari, depending on your point of location our company representative will pick you up from Entebbe International Airport or from your hotel in Kampala, he will welcome you and then brief you about 3 days Uganda chimpanzee trekking safari, after the briefing you will start with your journey to Kibale forest national park in the western region of Uganda, this will take you approximately 5 to 6 hours’ drive from Kampala, along the way in Fort portal tow you will have the lunch-en route and after lunch you explore various attractions in Fort Portal city like Amabere Ga Nyina Mwiru that will offer you the history of the attraction, if time allows you visit other crater lakes that are located around. After the experience you will transfer to your lodge for check-in then be served with dinner, relaxation and overnight stay.
Day 2: Chimpanzee trekking and Bigodi nature walks in Kibale forest national park.
On Day 2 of your 3 days Kibale Chimpanzee Trekking safari, you’ll wake up early for a relaxed breakfast, and meet with your driver to drive you to the park headquarters for a briefing on expectations and rules and regulations to carry during chimpanzee trekking. After the briefing you will be split into different groups of 6 people per group with the presence of armed park rangers will take you into the jungle to find habituated chimpanzees that are familiar to the park trails. Chimpanzee trekking takes a period of about 30 minutes to 4 hours depending on the location of the chimpanzees.
During the chimpanzee trekking safari, you spot endless wildlife like Vervet monkeys, Red colobus monkeys, L’Hoest’s monkeys, blue monkeys, mangabey monkeys, black and white colobus monkeys, and more. You’ll see buffaloes, leopards, bush pigs, sitatunga, golden cats, forest hogs, bushbucks, mongooses, duikers, and more. You can also see colourful and beautiful bird species like Dusky Crimsonwings, African pitta, Abyssinian ground thrush, Black bee-eater, Purple-breasted sunbird, crowned eagle, Blue-breasted kingfisher, Yellow-rumped tinker bird, Yellow-spotted Nicator, Green-breasted pitta, and others.
Once the chimpanzees are located you will be given one hour to be in their presence while watching them feed, groom, play, that’s when you take their pictures record their memories.
After the one go back to the starting point and get chimpanzee trekking certificates for taking part in chimpanzee trekking. From there you will be driven back to the lodge for lunch and , freshen up and meet with your driver for an evening Nature walk in Bigodi wetland Sanctuary where you will sight out more primate, mammals, birds and lots of botanical plant species. After the evening nature walk you will go back to the lodge for dinner, relaxation and overnight stay.
Day 3: Departure.
On the last day of the safari, you will wake-up on a relaxed breakfast at the lodge, check out of the lodge and meet with your drive to begin the journey back to Kampala where you will arrive during lunch hours, enjoy your relaxed lunch, have a brief city tour and transfer to Entebbe International airport for departures to the next destination or be dropped at any convenient place for you.
