Day 1: Pick up from Kampala/Entebbe to Lake Mburo National Park and Boat cruise.
Depending on the 1st day of the safari at 7: 00 am your safari guide from African Vacation Safaris will pick you up from your hotel in Kampala or from Entebbe International Airport, and brief you about the safari, after the briefing you will start your scenic drive south-west towards Lake Mburo National park that takes you approximately 4 to 5 hours. Along the way you will have the stopover at the equator for equator experience, take cool pictures and briefing demonstration of the earth’s hemispheres, you can also do some souvenir shopping here. After continue with your journey until your reach the park, then check into your lodge.
After lunch, you will meet your safari guide and then transfer for the relaxing boat cruise on Lake Mburo, this offers a unique perspective to view wildlife including hippos, crocodiles and a wide variety of the water birds like African fish eagles, elusive shoebill stork and among others. You might also spot animals coming to the water’s edge to drink water. After you will check in your lodge for dinner, relaxation and overnight stay.

Day 2: Game drive and transfer to Queen Elizabeth national park.
On the 2nd day of the safari, wake up early in the morning and then meet your safari guide and go for the morning game drive or the guided walking safari to the park, as the park is unique for its walking safaris, that allows you to get up close with zebras, elands, impalas, topis, buffaloes, and other various bird species. Lake Mburo national park has no elephants and then lions, so making walking safaris very safe.
Later you will return back to your lodge for breakfast and then check out from your lodge, and then start on your journey to Queen Elizabeth national park that approximately 3 to 4 hours’ drive, the drive takes you through beautiful landscapes including the rural villages and tea plantations, upon your arrival you will explore the crater lakes near Queen Elizabeth national park, and if you have time you can visit some of the stunning crater lakes that offers you breathtaking views.
And once you arrive, you will have the en-route game viewing experience depending on your arrival time and then energy levels, and later return to your lodge for dinner, relaxation and overnight stay.

Day 3: Game drives and afternoon game drives.
On the 3rd day of the safari, wake up early in the morning and then enjoy your breakfast, after breakfast your safari guide will pick you from your lodge and transfer you to the park for the morning game drive in the park. During the morning game drive you will spot the different animal species that includes buffaloes, elephants, warthogs, Uganda Kobs, waterbucks, warthogs, and many others as they are grazing in the open savannah plains, during the game drive you will spot the predators like hyenas, lions, leopards looking for the fresh of the day, viewing various bird species and among many others. After the morning game drive you will drive back to your lodge for lunch.
After lunch, you will go for afternoon boat cruise on Kazinga channel, the water channel that connects Lake Edward and then Lake George. The boat cruise on Kazinga channel takes a period of impressive 2 to 3 hours that gives you the opportunity of large herds of hippos, and large schools of crocodiles in the water, you will spot the elephants, waterbucks, and others along the water shores washing away their thirst, as well you will spot water bird species like cormorants, fish eagles, hornbills, yellow-bellied storks, African fish eagles. After the boat cruise you will return to your lodge for dinner, relaxation and overnight stay as above.

Day 4: Departure.
On the last day of the safari, you will get up early in the morning and then take your breakfast. After breakfast, you will check out from your lodge and then meet your safari guide and then start your journey back to Kampala; as you exist your park you will enjoy enroute game drive to spot the early risers like lions, buffaloes, elephants, leopards and among many others. You will proceed with your journey and have enroute lunch in Mbarara town and then continue with your journey and continue to Kampala and then you will arrive in Kampala in the evening and upon your arrival your driver guide will drop you off at your hotel in Kampala or Entebbe International Airport to check a flight back home that will make your safari come to the end.
