5 days Bwindi and Lake Mburo safari is the Uganda’s wildlife blended safari that takes you to the mountain gorillas and then to various animal species including zebras, giraffes, antelopes, impalas, elands and among others, and spotting of various bird species. This safari takes you to the famous known Bwindi impenetrable forest national park and Lake Mburo national park.

Detailed itinerary.
Day 1: Pick up and transfer to Lake Mburo national park.
On the 1st day of the safari, our company representative will pick you from your hotel in Kampala or from Entebbe International Airport, he will welcome you and then brief you about the safari. After the briefing you will proceed with you journey to Lake Mburo national park that approximately about 5 to 6 hours’ drive with the stopover at the equator for taking pictures, grabbing a cup of coffee. Later you will proceed with your journey and then enter the park with the attractive views of the large herds of zebras, impalas, elands, and many more without forgetting the various bird’s species. Upon your arrival check in your lodge for dinner, relaxation and overnight stay.
Day 2: Morning game drive and afternoon boat cruise in Lake Mburo national park.
After breakfast, meet your safari guide and transfer to the park for the morning game drive to watch the early risers in the open savannah plains namely zebras, elands, buffaloes, impalas, Uganda kobs and among many others. After the experience you will transfer to the lodge for lunch.
After lunch, you will connect back to the lodge and then go for the boat cruise on Lake Mburo or explore water animals like crocodiles, hippos, and various bird species like fish eagles, blue-breasted kingfisher, grey crowned crane, rare African finfoots, rare shoebill storks and among others. After the experience you return back to the lodge for dinner, relaxation and overnight stay.
Day 3: Transfer to Bwindi impenetrable forest national park.
After breakfast, check out from your lodge and then meet with your safari guide and then transfer to Bwindi impenetrable forest national park the home of the half remaining gorillas in the world that takes you about 5hours’ drive from Lake Mburo national park. Along the way you make a stopover and enjoy the en-route lunch. After lunch continue with your journey until you arrive in Bwindi with the amazing views of the terraced farms, rolling hills, attractive roads and other along the way. Upon your arrival you will check in your lodge and get served with dinner, relaxation and overnight stay.
Day 4: Gorilla trekking experience in Bwindi impenetrable forest national park.
On the 4th day of the safari, get up in the morning and then enjoy your breakfast. After breakfast together with your packed lunch, meet your safari guide and then transfer to the park headquarters for the briefing about the rules and regulations to follow during gorilla trekking. After the briefing you will be grouped in various groups of about 8 members per group, and each group will be assigned with the experienced park ranger and park guide to lead them in the forest to look for the mountain gorillas. Gorilla trekking in Bwindi impenetrable forest national park takes about 30 minutes to 6 hours depending on the location of the gorillas, this is where you will trek through the steep, densely forested hills while fascinated with the various primates, bird species, and animal species and among many others in the forest.
And once you find the gorillas you will be given one hour to be in the presence of the gorillas that is keeping 7 meters away from them. This is when you will watch the gorillas doing their daily activities like playing, grooming, feeding, mating and others. During that period that’s when you will take the pictures and then recording their videos. And after the experience you will trek back to the starting point and then your driver guide will transfer you to your lodge for dinner, relaxation and overnight sta
Day 5: Depart to Kampala.
On the final day of the safari, wake up early in the morning and then enjoy your breakfast. After breakfast, you will check out from your lodge and then meet your safari guide and begin your journey to Kampala, along the way in Mbarara you will have enroute lunch. After lunch you will continue with your journey until you arrive in Kampala, and upon your arrive you will be dropped to your place of convenience that will make your safari come to the end.
