Detailed itinerary.

Day 1:  Arrival and transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable forest national park.

On the 1st day of the safari, depending on your location, your safari guide will pick you either from Entebbe International Airport or from your hotel in Kampala. He will welcome you and then briefing about 5 days Bwindi and Queen Elizabeth safari. After the beefing you will start on your journey to Bwindi impenetrable forest national park in the south western part of Uganda and the journey takes you about 8 to 9 hours’ drive, through passing Masaka road. Along the way you will make a first stopover at the equator in Kayabwe to where you will take the stunning pictures, take coffee or simply purchase the souvenirs. After you will drive until Mbarara town, to where you will enjoy your en-route lunch, after lunch you will drive directly to the Bwindi with the thrilling views of the rolling hills, terraced farms and then be transferred to gorilla trekking sector, upon your arrival you will check in your lodge for dinner, relaxation and overnight stay.

Day 2: Gorilla trekking in Bwindi impenetrable forest national park.

On the 2nd day of the safari, get up in the morning and then enjoy your breakfast. After breakfast together with your packed lunch, meet your safari guide and then transfer to the park headquarters for the briefing about the rules and regulations to follow during gorilla trekking. After the briefing you will be grouped in various groups of about 8 members per group, and each group will be assigned with the experienced park ranger and park guide to lead them in the forest to look for the mountain gorillas.

Gorilla trekking in Bwindi impenetrable forest national park takes about 30 minutes to 6 hours depending on the location of the gorillas, this is where you will trek through the steep, densely forested hills while fascinated with the various primates, bird species, and animal species and among many others in the forest.

And once you find the gorillas you will be given one hour to be in the presence of the gorillas that is keeping 7 meters away from them. This is when you will watch the gorillas doing their daily activities like playing, grooming, feeding, mating and others. During that period that’s when you will take the pictures and then recording their videos. And after the experience you will trek back to the starting point and then your driver guide will transfer you to your lodge for dinner, relaxation and overnight stay.

Day 3: Transfer to Queen Elizabeth national park.

On the 3rd day of the safari, wake up early in the morning and enjoy breakfast. After breakfast you will check out from your lodge and then then meet your safari guide and then transfer to Queen Elizabeth national park  a home of the big four mammals of the big five (lions, buffalos, buffaloes and leopards) and then tree climbing lions. The journey from Bwindi to Queen Elizabeth national park is about 4 to 5 hours; and then upon your arrival you have lunch.

After lunch you will meet your safari driver and then transfer to Ishasha sector to spot the famous tree climbing lions while in trees and then spotting other mammals across that make your experience so rewarding. After the experience you will transfer to your lodge for dinner, relaxation and overnight stay.

Day 4: Morning game drive and afternoon boat cruise at Kazinga channel in Queen Elizabeth national park.

On the 4th  day of the safari, wake up early in the morning and enjoy your breakfast, after breakfast you will meet your safari guide and then transfer to the park  in the Kasenyi sector to sight the early risers, the game drive is such perfect that takes you to the verdant savannah plains to where you will sight the big four mammals of the big five mammals that includes the lions, buffaloes, leopards and elephants, as well as other mammals during the experience, without forgetting the bird species. After the game drive you will transfer to your lodge for lunch.

Ouganda

After lunch you will again come for more experience to do afternoon boat cruise on the famous Kazinga channel that connects Lake Edward and Lake George that is known for having the largest numbers of the hippopotamuses in the country, as well you will spot the giant crocodiles and lots of bird species including cormorants, African fish eagles, bee-eaters, yellow-bellied storks, African jacana and among others, and others. You will see other animals along the water shores that come to drink and soak up the channel. After you will transfer to your lodge for dinner, relaxation and overnight stay.

Day 5: Departure.

On the final day of the safari, wake up early in the morning and enjoy breakfast, after breakfast you will check out from your lodge and then meet your safari guide with the en-route game drive as you are existing the park. After the game drive you will proceed with your journey with the en-route lunch in Mbarara, and after lunch you will continue with your journey and upon your arrival, your safari guide will drop you off at you’re your preferred location either at Entebbe International Airport or to your hotel in Kampala that will make your safari come to the end.
