Day 1: Pick up and then transfer to Murchison falls national park through Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary for rhino tracking.
On the 1st day of the 5 days Murchison falls national park safari, depending on your location you will start the 5 days Murchison falls and Kibale national park to where you will be picked up by our company representative from African Vacation Safaris who will welcome you and then brief you about the safari. After the briefing you will start your journey to Murchison falls national park, with the magnificent views along the way. You will make a stopover along the way at Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary to track the remaining rhinos in Uganda that takes you about 1 to 2 hours. After rhino tracking you will go for the en-route lunch, after lunch you will connect to Murchison falls national park. Upon your arrival to the park you will check in your lodge for dinner, relaxation and overnight stay.
Day 2: Morning game drive and Delta Boat cruise in Murchison falls national park.
The 2nd day of the safari, wake up early in the morning and then enjoy your breakfast, after breakfast you will meet your safari guide and then transfer to the park and go for the interesting early morning game drive to spot the numerous including elephants, lions, Jackson’s hartebeests, Rothschild’s giraffes, Uganda Kobs, buffaloes, warthogs, and among others, without forgetting the bird species like secretary birds, bee-eaters, African fish eagles, cormorants, and among others in the northern Delta Nile. After the morning game drive you will return back to the lodge for lunch.
After lunch, you will meet your safari guide and then transfer for the afternoon Delta Boat cruise, to spot the colourful bird species including the prehistorical shoebill stork and spotting large numbers of the crocodiles, hippos. As well you will spot elephants, Uganda Kobs, giraffes, and others along the water shores drinking water. After the experience you will hike up to the falls to where you will be picked by your driver safari guide, this is a unique experience that offers you the stunning spotting of the landscape. Later you will return back to your lodge for dinner, relaxation and overnight.
Day 3: Boat cruise, hiking at the bottom of the falls and afternoon boat cruise in Murchison falls national park.
Wake up early in the morning and enjoy your hearty breakfast, after breakfast meet with your safari guide and then go the Nile for the boat cruise this is wonderful to where you sail towards the devil cauldron to have the exceptional viewing of the bubbling water cracking you will be able to spot the variety of the water species like hippos, crocodiles and various bird species. After the experience you will for hiking at the bottom of the falls and have the magical splashing of the waterfalls as you are listening to the sounds of the falls, as you are taking the stunning pictures. After the experience you will meet your safari driver and then go back to the lodge for lunch.
After lunch, you will go for the afternoon game drive to explore different areas of the park and then spot various animal species that you have missed on the first days, optional you can go for the sport fishing in the evening that you walk to the Nile with your fishing equipment to experience sport fishing and whatever species of fish you catch, they will prepare it for your at lodge that will make your experience fancy. After the experience you will transfer to your lodge for dinner, relaxation and overnight stay.
Day 4: Chimpanzee trekking in Budongo forest in Murchison falls national park.
Wake up early in the morning and enjoy breakfast, after breakfast your safari guide will transfer you with your packed lunch box and then cross the Victoria Nile with the ferry, and then get your safari guide will drive to Budongo forest for the chimpanzee tracking for the rules and regulations to follow during chimpanzee trekking.
After you will explore the forest with the professional and skilled ranger that will lead you through the forest trails of Kaniyo Pabidi/Budongo forest to be able to experience the perfect chimpanzee tracking that takes you about 30 minutes to 5 hours, depending on the location of the chimpanzees, with the unique sightings of the park’s attractions.
And once you find the chimpanzees you will be given one hour to be in the presence of the chimpanzees while observing them doing their daily activities, watching them climbing trees, feeding, playing, taking their pictures, and recording their movies to show people home after the safari. After the experience you will transfer back to your lodge for dinner, relaxation and overnight stay.
Day 5: Departure to Kampala.
On the last day of the safari, wake up early in the , you will check out of the lodge and meet up with your driver guide to start on the journey back to Kampala with en-route lunch on the way. After arriving in Kampala, your driver guide will drop you off at Entebbe International Airport for your flight or at your convenience.
